Three veteran Idaho journalists will produce Idaho Education News, this independent, news service that provides comprehensive information about education in Idaho.
Idaho Education News’ three full-time staffers are:
- Jennifer Swindell, who spent 20 years with the Idaho Statesman before joining the education industry with the Caldwell School District and Boise State University;
- Kevin Richert, who has a 27-year journalism career, including the last 11 years with the Idaho Statesman where he’s written extensively about education; and
- Clark Corbin, who adds Eastern Idaho expertise to the team coming from the Idaho Falls’ Post Register where he covered government and education.
“Idaho Education News is dedicated to creating a platform to discuss issues that affect Idaho’s children and their future,” said Idaho Ed News editor Jennifer Swindell. “Our platform will elevate the discussion about learning, increase accountability and arm readers with objective information that will help them engage in meaningful discussions.”
Swindell is already working for Idaho Education News and the Idaho Leads Project. Richert and Clark start full time working for Idaho Education News on January 21. Click here to read Kevin’s farewell column in The Statesman.
