State superintendent Debbie Critchfield attended a meeting for Region III superintendents Wednesday morning.
The event, sponsored by the Idaho Association of School Administrators, included school leaders from across the greater Treasure Valley.
Critchfield greeted the regional superintendents Wednesday, and hopes to collaborate with them during her time in office, in hopes of learning the issues that affect local districts.
Critchfield ate lunch at the Constitutional Officers’ Luncheon, and then spent her afternoon bouncing between meetings with legislators and State Department of Education staff.
This evening, the new superintendent plans to attend longtime Idaho journalist Betsy Russell’s retirement party. After over 30 years reporting on the Legislature and state government, Russell retired from the Idaho Press on Jan. 1.
